MLA Architecture is a multi-award winning, internationally recognised, London-based architecture and design studio. Working across residential, conservation, and commercial architecture projects, MLA Architecture creates unique, engaging, and functional environments.
We partnered with MLA to redesign their identity—creating an engaging, powerful brand that reflects the studio’s high caliber products and services. By developing an entirely new visual system based on the Golden Ratio, we were able to build a suite of internal designs and strategies to emulate MLA’s dedication to providing modern, stylish designs to individuals and communities.
What we’ve done
Branding, Web Design, Customer Experience Web Design, Social Media Design Strategy.
The Golden Ratio
MLA Architecture’s use of the Golden Ratio creates beautifully proportioned, contemporary designs that perfectly capture a client’s ideal space.
Keeping these state-of-the-art concepts in mind, we rebranded MLA Architecture based on the same Golden Ratio that drives its inventions—implementing a fresh, modern typeface and sleek logo to complement its initiatives.
The Brand Guideline
Adding an earthy, muted colour palette throughout print and digital systems, we enhanced MLA’s subtle, yet stylish, design ideals. This palette was updated throughout the studio’s stationary, documentation strategies, promotional marketing materials, and website, giving current and prospective clientele a look into MLA’s unique brand promise and composed methodology.
We also generated a versatile set of visual assets for company use across all variations of platforms. And, wanting to guarantee the success of MLA’s brand even after our work was done, we developed a brand guideline intended to teach MLA how to maintain brand standards and ensure consistency across social media, digital, and marketing assets.
Combining Form and Function to Meet Customer Needs
We established a responsive, mobile-first design approach framework that optimised design attributes and user-experience decisions across all platforms.
In this process, elements like navigation, filtration, and aspect ratios were tailored to deliver the ideal browsing experience on any device.
Easier Navigation for a Mobile-First Approach
The User Experience was designed primarily for the purpose of mobile, with the user journey and web layout continuing along the Golden Ratio concept.
Smooth, intuitive navigation and quick access to all projects and informational pages gives users an enjoyable web experience, making it easier for them to interact with MLA’s projects, engage with content, and contact the business.
We created a graphic language based on a modern and clean design, further capitalizing on the Golden Ratio branding concept. These designs were used across all social media aspects, with each graphic highlighting the stories behind different MLA Architecture projects, their nuances, and their outcomes.
